About the Conference
Presented at the University of Alabama Languages Conference (UALC) in collaboration with Daniel López Burgón and Candela Sevilla. This presentation explored how foreign accents shape listener perceptions of personality traits, credibility, and competence in multilingual contexts. Drawing from perspectives in sociolinguistics and phonetics, the project examined the social implications of accent perception and linguistic bias in communication and language learning environments.
