About the Conference
This presentation examined the phonetic patterns of Spanish heritage speakers born in the United States, focusing on public figures such as Jennifer Lopez and Eva Mendes. Drawing from sociophonetics and bilingualism studies, the project explored how language contact shapes pronunciation, prosody, and linguistic identity in heritage Spanish speakers.
